Oregon Coast Camping Trip (part 3)

After the parade on Monday, we piled into the van and drove down to Rockaway Beach for the annual wiener dog races. The races have lasted 2-3 hours in years past, so we took our time getting down the coast. We found out that they were over in just 45 minutes this year and, sadly, we showed up just after the grand champion had been crowned. Since we were down that way, we spent a couple hours poking around the little town of Wheeler. Gidget and Acey spent their time in the antique stores, and I wandered around taking pictures and talking to the locals.

  1. We sure enjoyed your emails and particularly the pictures. It sounds like you all three had a great time.

I noticed you have a new or different camper. What happened to your Airstream?

We are sure anxious to see you in a couple of weeks. Can't wait.

Love you all three - Dad & Joyce

  3. Hey Jay Beach:
I didn't know you were still using this blog and I missed reading and seeing pics of months of stuff! That will teach me to pay more attention! The pic of Acey meditating is hysterical! Something tells me that he would excel at acting!
