Our shopping consisted of a stop at a great bead shop in North Seattle, a trip to Antika to see Merd, Fevzi and of course Tonka. I could not believe how much he has grown since Christmas. I just had to take pictures of the big LUG :). He just makes me smile...

For lunch we picked up some Red Mill Burgers to go and took them to Green Lake to watch the people jog by as we stuffed our face :). Kind of made me feel guilty...NOT!!

The "boys" spent their day at the movies watching Avatar. They both gave it two thumbs up!!

Hey Gidge:
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderful surprise to see you come through the front door of our store! To the rest of you, Gidge tried to fake us out that she came to see Fevzi and I but she later admitted that she came to see the "lug" Tonka! Gidge, Fevzi and I were really glad to see how well you looked. You look so much better than at Christmas time it is amazing. Keep up all of the good work! Jay keep up the good food!
Love Merd
P.S. I am just a LITTLE bit taken with Tonka and thank you for all of your patience while I go on and on about him! He brings so many smiles to our faces every day that I want to share it. Woof!
Sounds like you had a great day. What a dog! So cute! Thoughts, love and prayers,

I ran across some pictures I have and will send them to you this week. It would be an injustice not to post them (I'm not sure who has bigger hair in them, you or jay). Wow, first sneezing and now the mouth itching. You have some strange things you have to deal with. Love, your brother
ReplyDeleteHi Gidget - Glad to hear you are getting out. I hope the side effects don't get worse.
ReplyDeleteI was slow making a comment on your last blog, but your talk of Rampart brought back a couple of memories. I knew Steve and Rosie Losonsky who owned a mine over at Rampart. We flew in with my "Bush Plane" with Jay and Meridee along and did some gold panning at their mine and I don't think we even found many flakes. His airstrip was so short that I had to carry Gayla back over to Rampart and go back to pick up the kids, as I recall. Anyway on the second takeoff from the little strip we got hit by some cross wind and had an exciting time just briefly.
We sure pray that you will be ready and not have any more bad side effects as you go forward. Also, we are really proud of you.
By the way, Bobby and Allison Broughton posted a blog, but it was on one of the old blogs - the Drip, Drip, Yay Chemo one.
Love You - Ed and Joyce
Hi again Gidget - I just had a message from a co-worker from Anchorage. She posted a note to you just a while ago.
ReplyDeleteLike Bobby earlier, she posted it on one of the older blogs, this one was on Thinking of Rampart. The blog is from Maureen Benner.
I don't know if you are going back to the old blogs to catch up on new comments or not. If not, maybe you can put an instruction on the site somehow that will make sure people post on the latest blog from you.
I'd hate for you to be missing out on some of the postings.
Love you - Ed
HAHA.. too cute GL!
ReplyDeleteHad a good time palling around with you Sunday! I made the necklace... I will email you a pic!
We'll do something fun again soon!

PPP :) :) :)
What happened to your BFF Laurie?? I want to see you!! What about the weekend after next? I'm moving out of my house this weekend and watching the Super Bowl on Sunday. BUT I am available the next weekend. Let me know how you feel. I could also sneak away and see you at SCCC on Friday. It is up to you and how you are doing. By the way, I love Acey's hair that way!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, All
ReplyDeleteMeridee, Tonka has turned into a tank!! How can one dog grow so quickly?! Gidget, that was cool that you popped in to Antika on your girl's day. Sounds like Meridee and Fevzi were on to you though...it was a Tonka visit more than anything else! I don't blame you- he looks like a huge teddy bear! Love, Michelle
