Ace-Man Out Sick....HMMMMM...

Yesterday, I had a constant companion with me. It seems my Ace-Man - had a "tummy ache" and wanted to stay home from school. A part of me wondered if he just didn't want to spend the day with his Mama. Either way, I let him stay home and recuperate :). His Dad wasn't buying it.

I spent the day knitting him a hat - he loves when I knit him hats with "sprigs" on top. Here's his new "sprig" hat:

He spent the day finger knitting mustaches :O). He felt the mustaches made him look dapper and fit his tails and top hat Butler look :). He's like an old soul... I wonder who he was in another life? Here's my Butler:

  2. Gidge, your Grandma would be sooo proud of you and your knitting, like you,she would sit for hours knitting in her favorite chair! I never could catch on to the increase, decrease of knitting, so turned to crocheting,so I've gotta say,I'm impressed. You just have the crafting gene in you, it's a relaxing and rewarding talent and who wouldn't be happy with a "sprig" to wear. The mustache tops it all though.....
"The Ace Man",what else to say other than, you were blessed with a wonderful kid and such a source of entertainment. He loves his Mamma, that's for sure!Hugs and kisses to the three of you and I look forward to more great stories and pics from you! What a great way to document your journey.Love you all!!!!

  3. Oooo La La, that little guy looks like he stepped out of a page of French history. I love the last picture!
Gidget, how are you feeling? Have you had any problems with your stomach being upset? Is your energy level getting better?

Tonka discovered that Fevzi and I have ears today and they were the main source of chewing material all day! I probably have multiple piercings that I am not aware of yet!

  4. Hi Gidget - I tend to agree with your husband. Boys/men don't have "tummy aches". Excruciating "Stomach Pains" maybe. In Acey's defense, that's probably what it was.

I think Acey looks more like a professional magician than butler. In the second picture I assume he is showing off the cute dog that he pulled from his top hat.

Hope you are doing well, and getting ready for round 2.

We love you - Ed & Joyce

P.S. I noticed that Meridee's blog was half Gidget and half Tonka. At least you are getting equal time.

  5. I enjoyed looking at pictures. So good to see your upbeat attitude, even though im sure the whole process can't be much fun. I would like to add my prayers to all the rest. Hope your day is going well today.

  6. I absolutely love these photos of Acey and the hat you knitted is fabulous. (I've always been envious of your knitting skills....since I have zero). What would we do without our silly, creative, imaginative children? I'm sorry you are going through this but you seem to be moving through with grace. Lots of prayer and well wishes for you. Hang in there! xo LIsette
